What does it take for a person to go to heaven?

F.A.I.T.H.

F - Forgiveness
We can't have heaven and eternal life without God's forgiveness

Ephesians 1:7, "In Him (meaning Jesus) we have redemption through His
blood, the forgiveness of sins..."

A - Available, but not automatic
God's forgiveness is available to all...

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only
Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

But it's not automatic...

Matthew 7:21, "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the
kingdom of heaven..."

Why is God's forgiveness not automatic?

I - Impossible
It's impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.

Revelation 21:27, "Nothing impure will ever enter it (heaven)..."

Romans 3:23, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

How can a sinful person enter heaven where God allows no sin?

T - Turn
Turn means to "repent." You need to turn from sin and self.

Luke 13:3, "But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

You need to turn toward Christ, and trust Him only.

Romans 10:9, "...if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

If you do this, then you get H.

H - Heaven
Heaven is eternal life.

John 14:3, "...if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and
take you to be with me that you also may be where I am..."

.

You can have the joy of salvation now!

John 10:10, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

How can you have God's forgiveness, eternal life in heaven,

and Jesus as your Savior and Lord?

Pray this prayer...
"Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, and that You rose from the dead. I now ask you to forgive me of my sins, and to save my soul. Amen."
