Wrestling: Youth

Yes, Village has wrestling.

Wrestling is sponsored by the Village Baptist Church Recreation Committee. The season runs from November 1 to March 12. Cost is $50 for the season. Costs cover the use of the facility, practice shirt and shorts and use of the team uniform and head gear. This program is open to all youth 5 - 18 yrs and focuses on 12 yrs and under. You are not required to be a member of Village Baptist Church nor attend VCA. Wrestlers are provided a headgear and singlet to use during the season but must be returned at the end.

All participants must also join the Amateur Athletic Union. Cost is $14.00 at the following website: https://play.aausports.org/home.aspx Create an account and sign up under our club name “Village Wrestling”, XTC76F.

The team practices on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the Field House. Tournaments are on Saturdays, normally twice per month and wrestlers attend only those events they choose. Wrestlers sign up individually for the tournament they plan to wrestle in here: carolinawrestling.com
