Kim is originally from Louisville, KY but was raised in Chattanooga, TN. The church she grew up in was very similar to Village Baptist. At the age of nine she accepted Christ as her Savior while attending summer camp.

In 2003, she met her husband, Jeremy, and in 2004 they were married.

After working as a Human Resource Assistant for a home health agency in Chattanooga for 7 years, God moved Jeremy and Kim to Fayetteville. Jeremy is teaching 7th and 8th grade math at Village Christian Academy.
