Rich came to Village in 1998 after retiring from "ABB" and moving from Memphis, TN. Rich volunteered at Village for two years before officially joining the staff.

Rich and his wife, Lou, joined Village because it preaches God's Word and because it was similar to their church in Memphis.

Rich and Lou have a son, John, in Manhatten Beach, CA who works in the movie industry. Rich's daughter, Gloria, lives in Fayetteville, NC and teaches part time at Fayetteville Technical Community College.
